DEZEMBER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER
Elder College provides a lot of fun and interesting learning experiences. It began as an Elder
Hostel and was directed by Laura and Harvey Brockmeyer. After three sessions, it was decided
to transform it into a week-long Elder College, sponsored by CSUB. Each morning there are
two 1 ½ hour sessions Monday through Thursday. Each afternoon there is one 1 ½ hour session
per day. All sessions are held in the Dezember Leadership Development Center. Coffee, tea and water are
served daily along with a variety of snacks. Lunch is also served each day by The Garden Spot
in the Dezember Building.

Each day will focus on a different type of technology: Phone, Pad, Computer and Smart
TV with help from Best Buy’s Geek Squad.

4. The Field Trip on Friday will be to the La Brea Tar Pits and Museum in Los Angeles. We will have a bus to take us to the
places we will be going. It will pick us up on campus.
Cost for Elder College is $130. A payment of $55 may be made to hold your spot and the
balance may be paid on Possibilities Day (Thursday, September 12) at the Elder College table.

by October 6. Deposits will be non-refundable after that date. If you have any questions,
